Welcome to the exclusive Pinoli app beta group! You're one of a handful of folk whose judgement we trust to help us build a great experience for diners.
We've spent five months discovering venues, reading menus, working out which specials are running and where, and building an app on top of it.
It works really well for us... but now we need to know whether it actually helps real diners find somewhere to eat!
We will read every comment you send in, and we'll report back often on what we're changing as a result.
We're hoping that for you, Pinoli can be that trusted friend with great taste, who knows every place.

What we're trying to do with this beta

Make the app work really well
We want to find all the bits that don't quite work or make sense, the bugs we haven't detected yet... the screens or concepts which don't need to exist. We also want to know the bits that are great and could be greater so we can focus there.

Keep it human
Also, while the back end couldn't exist without AI, and the front end has been built with the help of AI, this isn't an "AI app". So tell us when if it ever feels like a robot and we will stamp that out.

Keep improving the data
Every day, Andre and Tom find another weird way a venue expresses opening hours, or a menu that includes no prices, or an Instagram picture we've unintentionally butchered. We fix them as we find them, but you'll spot things we never would.

Learn how you'd really use it
What you'd open it for, what you wish it did... what would/ did encourage you to come back to it?
What we're asking
Talk to us for 30-45 minutes
We'd love to jump on a call or go for a coffee and just chat about times you've used the app, what worked and didn't etc. While we get lots of analytics about what people click on, it doesn't tell us why or how they felt etc.

Tell us when something looks wrong (or is really good, we have an option for that too)
A venue, a special, a Concierge answer, anything. There are three ways to do it in the app:
- A venue looks wrong. Open its page, scroll to the bottom, tap Something wrong with this listing?
- The Concierge got it wrong. Scroll to the end of the chat, tap Send this conversation to the team
- Anything else, specials included: Profile › Give beta feedback

Keep an eye on the WhatsApp group
It's where we post new versions, new features, and anything we know is broken. We'll send you the invite directly. We're deliberately keeping the link off this page.

Update the app when a new version lands
Sometimes a new version will mean the old version breaks, so we'll send out a message when we put out a new one!

Fill in a couple of short surveys
2 or 3, spread over the course of the beta. We'll send them through the WhatsApp group.

Use it for real
When you're actually working out where to have dinner or a drink, try to open Pinoli first; and if it doesn't help, remember to tell us where it failed!
