Terms of Service

Effective 2 September 2026

The agreement between you and us for using Pinoli. Short, in plain language, and honest about what the app can and can't promise.

The short version

1. Who you're dealing with

Pinoli is operated by Soufra AI Pty Ltd (ABN 88 700 592 203), a company registered in Australia and based in Sydney. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Soufra AI Pty Ltd, and "you" means you, the person using the app.

By using Pinoli you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app. Questions about any of this: help@pinoli.app.

2. Who can use Pinoli

Pinoli is made for adults deciding where to eat and drink, and isn't intended for anyone under 16. Some of what we show you is alcohol related, including drink specials at pubs and bars. Showing you a deal is not an invitation to buy alcohol, and you must be 18 or over to buy alcohol anywhere in Australia. Please drink responsibly.

3. Your account

You can use most of Pinoli without telling us anything about yourself. If you want your shortlist and preferences to follow you between devices, you can create an account using any of the sign-in options we support, currently Apple and Google.

Keep your account details to yourself, and let us know if you think someone else is using your account. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account, which erases it immediately. What we do with your information, and what survives deletion, is set out in our Privacy Policy.

4. What Pinoli actually is, and what it isn't

Pinoli is a discovery tool. We gather information about venues and their specials from their websites, their social media, and public sources, and present it in one place.

We are not the venue, and we don't control what they do. Specials end early, prices go up, kitchens change, places shut. We refresh often, but at any moment some of what you see will be out of date, incomplete or simply wrong. Always treat the venue's own information as correct in preference to ours, and check before you make a trip that depends on it.

So that checking is easy, we point you at the source wherever we can: the venue's own website and social accounts, and, for menus and specials, the page or post we took the information from. When something looks off, or matters enough to plan around, follow those links and check with the venue directly.

Nothing in Pinoli is a recommendation in any professional sense, and we aren't paid by venues to feature them.

5. Dietary information and allergies

Dietary information shows up in several places in Pinoli: vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and halal markers on menu items, whole menus tagged by type, and the dietary preferences you save to your profile, which shape what we show you and what the Concierge suggests.

None of it is a safety guarantee, and you should not rely on it where getting it wrong would harm you. These labels come from venues' own menus, read by automated systems that make mistakes. We know nothing about how a dish is actually prepared: shared fryers and surfaces, a substituted ingredient, something the kitchen changed this morning. If you have an allergy or intolerance that matters medically, ask the venue directly, every time.

One thing worth knowing about how we label: where a label is missing, it means we don't know, not that the answer is no. A dish with no vegan marker may well be vegan, we simply haven't established it. Saving dietary preferences to your profile is a convenience that helps us show you more of what you're after; it is not a filter you should trust with your health, and we don't remove things from your view on safety grounds.

Nothing in Pinoli is medical, nutritional or dietary advice.

6. The Concierge

The Concierge answers questions and suggests places using AI. Like all such systems it can be confidently wrong: it can misread a menu, miss that a place is closed, or invent a detail. Treat its answers as a starting point, and verify anything that matters before acting on it. If it tells you something important, confirm it with the venue. Anything it tells you about dietary suitability is covered by the section above.

7. Bookings

For some venues, we can take you straight into their own booking system from within Pinoli. Where we can, the details you enter go to that booking provider rather than to us. Any booking is an agreement between you and the venue — we're not a party to it, we don't hold your reservation, and we can't change or cancel it for you. The provider's and the venue's own terms apply to that booking, including anything they say about deposits, no-shows and cancellations.

If a booking doesn't work out, the venue is who to speak to. We'll gladly fix anything that's wrong on our side, like a wrong phone number or a stale menu.

8. Photos you share with us

If you send us a photo of a special, you're confirming that you took it, that you're happy for us to use it, and that it doesn't show identifiable people. You keep ownership of your photo. You give us permission to store it, adapt it and show it to other people in Pinoli so everyone benefits from the deal you spotted, and to keep doing so after you delete your account, because by then it's describing a venue's menu rather than anything about you.

Don't send anything you don't have the right to share. We may remove any photo for any reason.

9. Using Pinoli fairly

Please don't:

The app, its design, and the collected content are ours or our licensors'. Venue names, logos and menus belong to the venues.

10. Pinoli is young, and will change

We're early. Features will appear, change and sometimes disappear, and the app may be unavailable at times. We may stop offering Pinoli, or any part of it, and we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

11. Our responsibility to you

Pinoli is provided free and as-is. To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that the app will be uninterrupted or error free, or that anything in it is accurate, and we're not liable for loss you suffer from relying on it — a special that had finished, a venue that had closed, a booking that didn't exist.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, and those rights sit above anything said here. Where we're allowed to limit our liability rather than exclude it, our liability is limited to supplying the service again.

Where the law does allow us to limit liability, and to the extent it does, our total liability to you for anything connected with Pinoli is limited to AU$100.

12. Ending things

You can stop using Pinoli and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that's breaking these terms, or being used to harm the service or other people. Sections that by their nature should survive, like the ones about your photos, our liability and governing law, continue to apply afterwards.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll update this page and the date at the top before it takes effect, and where it significantly affects you we'll tell you in the app, or by email if we hold an address for you. Continuing to use Pinoli after that means you accept the new terms.

14. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.

15. Getting in touch

Anything at all: help@pinoli.app. We read everything, and we'd rather hear about a wrong price than have you turn up to a special that finished last month.
